How does your Durable Medical Equipment (DME) ensure your equipment is cleaned and disinfected?

Speaker: Jenny Swain, Executive Vice President of Sales and Clinical Initiatives

Description:  It is a commonly known fact that HAIs can be spread by touching contaminated surfaces. Durable Medical Equipment (DME) used by patients has a high chance of being contaminated with harmful pathogens. All experts state that DME must be taken into consideration as a possible spread of HAIs. It is imperative that your Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) ask appropriate questions of your current DME provider regarding their process of cleaning equipment to ensure equipment being brought in to your facility is free of harmful pathogens. It is also important that your SNF employees have a basic understanding of what proper cleaning and disinfecting should look like of DME equipment to allow you to accurately assess your contracted DMEs cleaning processes.

We want your patients to be safe and healthy. We think you’ll find this webinar informative and will ensure that your DME provider is assisting you in keeping your patients safe and healthy.
